Josep Maria and Arnau in the Aubàs area

On Saturday, June 13, 2026, a group of 10 volunteers met in Coll de Nargó to carry out maintenance work on the Camí d’Andorra.

Specifically, we will be dedicated to marking the start of 3 stages of the path more clearly, so that walkers get off to a good start on these sections that will take them to Andorra. Once the path is well underway, the rest is easier to follow.

We will also be dedicated to better marking some changes of direction, so that walkers can more easily follow the correct path.

2 work teams were formed: A first team -formed by Octavio Rico, Toti Bosch, P. J. Comella and Ramon Camats- was dedicated to better marking the start of the path to the climb to the mountain of Ares, from Oliva de Cabó.

A second team -formed by Josep Maria Vilà, Jordi Piferrer, Lluís Abardia, Mn. Xavier Pont and Arnau Finestres– dedicated themselves to marking 3 different points: the beginning of the section that goes from Pont del Codó to Fenollet; then they headed to the Aubàs area and finally they better marked the Carrerada path that goes from the bridge over the river of La Guàrdia (near Noves de Segre) to Cal Pallarès.

After 4 hours of intense work, we all met in Pallerols. There, Enrique Tormo accompanied us with a good aperitif: cold cuts, cheeses and a magnificent black and white sausage, salads, fresh drinks, and more!, all prepared by Octavio and P. J. Comella.

We ended this magnificent day of work with the mass celebrated by Fr. Xavier Pont in the church of Pallerols.

A day well spent, with the joy of having done some very productive work to prepare the paths and places where many people will come to visit during these summer months.

From June 19 to 24, a group of 30 young people will make the entire journey to Andorra. Later, from June 22 to 27, we expect a group coming from Pamplona; from June 28 to July 4, another group from Pamplona; and during the months of July, August and September, numerous groups of 20 to 40 people from Madrid, Pamplona, Barcelona, Sant Cugat, Mexico, Slovenia, etc. have already confirmed their visit.

Through this website, we will inform you of all these visits.

We are grateful that Arnau Finestres, from Cal Toà de Coll de Nargó, has joined the volunteer group. Although the group of Volunteers is over 30 people, we need even more Volunteers, especially from the areas where the path passes. This way we can better serve all the groups that are increasingly doing this wonderful and historic Camí d’Andorra.
