The Association of Friends of the Camí de Pallerols de Rialb in Andorra, was born in 2002, following the centenary of the birth of Saint Josemaría Escrivà de Balaguer. Since then, he has been working on the recovery of the facts, streets and places of the fugitive route that Saint Josemaría followed with other people in November-December 1937. Currently, people from all over the world are part of it.
From very early on, we set out to remember all those who – for reasons of conscience – had to flee these mountains, with the aim that this memory would lead us to respect everyone in their freedom and to promote the peace and coexistence between all people over the differences that may exist in ideology, race, religion, language, country and traditions. This was a great wish of Saint Josemaria and is a very important part of his legacy.
There is a Board of Directors and different Commissions of work, at the head of which there are managers who coordinate the tasks they carry out.
There are different types of partners:
Honorary partners They are those people who have distinguished themselves for their special support and encouragement. Jordi Piferrer i Deu, author of the book “Camino de Libertad”, summarizes the lives of the three Honorary members of the Association: Josep Cirera, Josep Boix de Juncàs and Eugeni Coll de Fenollet, now deceased.
Number partners They are the majority of the partners, who with their perhaps modest but continuous contribution allow us to carry out everything we have set out to do.
Finally, we must highlight the work of the Volunteers who collaborate selflessly in the tasks of cleaning and marking the paths, in cultural, historical, administrative issues, etc.
