On Sunday, July 20, we will have the traditional “Gathering of Saint Josemaría” in the fields of Gastó (Fontaneda – Sant Julià de Lòria) with the following schedule:

– 10:00 Those who wish can walk from the town of Argolell (Catalonia) to Mas d’Alins and la Borda del Gastó (Andorra).

– A large group of about 35 boys will also arrive walking from Pallerols de Rialb, following the Camino d’Andorra that Saint Josemaría made in 1937. These boys are from different parts of Spain and France.

– On the other hand, most of the attendees will go up by car or on foot from Sant Julià de Lòria to arrive at around 12 in the morning at la Borda del Gastó.

– 12:00 Once all the groups have gathered at the Borda del Gastó, the celebration of the Eucharist will take place. The priests who have come walking will concelebrate, accompanying the group that has made the entire journey from Pallerols de Rialb.

– 13:00 After the celebration of the Eucharist, we will have a lunch to celebrate the feast of Saint Josemaría -which was on June 26- and we will read texts remembering that Saint Josemaría passed through this same place 88 years ago.

For lunch we will have:

-Andorran sausages, salad, ribs and grilled meat.

-To drink: water, wine and various soft drinks.

-For dessert: fruit, cake, coffee and liqueurs.

-Price: €12 each one

– At 3:00 p.m. we will go down -by car or on foot- to the church of Sant Julià de Lòria, where there is a statue of Saint Josemaría.

Note.- To go by car to Borda del Gastó, you must leave Sant Julià de Lòria in the direction of Fontaneda following the following indications.

– Starting point: Sant Julià de Lòria. Cross the bridge over the Valira River, where there is a sign that says “to Fontaneda 5.9 Km”. We will call this point: Km 0.00

– New cemetery of Sant Julià: minute 4 – Km 2.10

– Coll de Jou: minute 5 – Km 2.70

– Detour to Fontaneda: minute 10 – Km 5.50. You don’t have to enter the town of Fontaneda, but leave it on the right and continue along the main road.

– Borda del Gastó: minute 12 – Km 7.40. Borda del Gastó is known because there are cows and there are signs that say: on the left “Mas d’Alins – 3.2 Km”, on the right “Ermita Verge Canòlich – 5.5 Km”.
