On Sunday 30 June we celebrated the traditional “Aplec de San Josemaria” in Sant Julià de Lòria (Andorra).

About 70 people from Andorra, Lleida, Barcelona, Malaga and Uruguay attended.
Special mention goes to Carme Torcuato and Míriam Monferrer who prepared all the necessary arrangements to make it a magnificent party: the logistics, the food, the good weather, etc. Her husbands, Alfons Clavera and Carles Miquel, along with their children, Guillem and Clàudia, and Martí and Agnès collaborated. At 10 in the morning they were already preparing everything in the Borda that our friend Carles Álvarez Marfany had left us.
Around 10:30 the Lleida residents Ramon Camats, Paco Penella, Josep Maria Vila, Pepe Martínez and Josep Maria Panedés arrived; as well as people from Barcelona, Jordi Pérez, Octavio Rico, Jordi Piferrer, Pedro Júdez and others. Octavio Quintana and his wife also arrived, who had walked up from Argolell, and who came from Pallars Sobirà.
All together willing to collaborate in whatever was needed: building the fire, preparing lunch, etc.

Around 11:45 a group of 27 boys arrived who for 5 days have been walking from Pallerols de Rialb, following the Camí d’Andorra that Saint Josemaria did in 1937. You can follow the news of this walk when we publish it within a week.

At 13:00, Fr Albert Penella celebrated mass in the meadows of the Carles Álvarez Marfany.

At the end of the mass, there was the veneration of the relics of Saint Josemaria

Around 13:00 we will have a good aperitif -an excellent display of Andorran sausages that, like every year, our friend Marc Pintat gives us for the Aplec festival- and then lunch with grilled meat.

After lunch we had a social gathering and those who wanted to went down to the church of Sant Julià de Lòria and took the opportunity to greet the statue of Saint Josemaria that is venerated in this parish church.

Another year, a festive day full of joy celebrating in the middle of nature the feast of Saint Josemaria -which was last June 26- while remembering his passage through the Andorran lands now 87 years ago.
