Once captured the queen, her entourage of more than 1,000 bees has followed

On April 10, when we entered the Pallerols church, we found that some intruders had built their house on the front door. It was a swarm of bees, which, without permission, had installed in the church of Pallerols.

We immediately warned some beekeepers in the area: the brothers Marc and Miquel Finestres from Cal Toà, from Hostal del Llac at Coll de Nargó.

The next day, they arrived at Pallerols well equipped with the corresponding protective suits, a ladder, a box where to put the bees, etc.

Helped by Agustí Sala, the neighbour of Cal Mingo, in less than an hour, they managed to capture the queen, and with it the whole swarm, which was no less than 1,000 bees, and they put them in the special box they brought.

Thanks to the quick and efficient performance of the men of Cal Toà, we freed ourselves from the bees that were already making exquisite honey, which we were lucky to try.

Now, in another place, they will be able to continue with their task of making honey, but outside the terms of Pallerols, where they had installed without permission!
