A group of about 40 students from the Colegio Mayor La Alameda (Valencia) and the Club Universitario Riells (Barcelona) have come to visit Pallerols, taking advantage of their participation in the Jornadas Universitarias de los Pirineos (JUP) the last week of July.
We met our guide for the day, Ramón, in the village of Ponts, where he introduced us to the historical context in which St. Josemaria’s journey to Andorra took place. By car we followed the route that the members of the expedition made by bus and stopped at some points to receive explanations of what happened in each place.
After passing through Peramola and seeing some other emblematic places in the distance, we headed to Pallerols, where we were able to learn about the events of that expedition and participate in the Holy Mass before eating in the refuge of the rectory.
Afterwards, we went to the Cabaña de San Rafael, where, following in the footsteps of St. Josemaría, we prayed the Prayers of the Work.
After having learned more about this fragment of the history of Opus Dei and the life of St. Josemaría, a small group is already forming that would like to participate in the journey through the Pyrenees. We hope that their wishes will come true.
