About 40 people were able to enjoy the peace of Pallerols

On Saturday, May 11, about 40 people made a pilgrimage to Our Lady of the Roser in Pallerols. They came from different places: Lleida, Barcelona, Sant Cugat, la Baronia de Rialb, a good representation of Andorra,… and even Madrid.

At 11:15 a.m. Fr Xavier Pont made a historical and architectural summary of Pallerols through a visit to the rectory and the church. He told us that this year 2024 we will celebrate the millennium of the consecration of the church by Saint Ermengol, who was bishop of Urgell from 2010 to 2035.

Later, from this website, we will let you know in detail the dates of the millennium celebration and its composition. We are already moving forward, but it will be the month of November, coinciding with the Festival of the Meeting of the Rose.

At 12:15 the recitation of the rosary began, in procession around the church, and then the celebration of the Eucharist.

After the holy mass, about 30 people stayed for lunch next to the Pallerols refuge. All the attendees contributed with what they brought, so we had a good aperitif with ham and other sausages, cheese, Galician empanada, olives, fried potatoes, etc., etc.

After the aperitif, ribs: grilled lamb and sausages. Bread with tomato, and all washed down with some good wines. For dessert, Coll de Nargó cake, catania, chocolate, nuts, etc. The famous Ratafia de Pallerols could not be missed.

It was a very emotional day, as always when we go to Pallerols. Although it seems that Pallerols is far away, two hours by car from Barcelona, it is certainly worth going there to enjoy the peace that you can breathe there. We recommend it!
