On May 11, taking advantage of the fact that we will make the pilgrimage to the Virgin of Pallerols, we will offer a mass for her eternal rest

Last Wednesday, April 17, he died in Barcelona Fr Pere Pascual, an Opus Dei priest closely linked to the counties of La Noguera and Alt Urgell, and also Andorra, where he had gone up for many years to minister priestly to many people from those Pyrenean regions, related to the Opus Dei and the devotion to Our Lady of Pallerols.

Fr Pere was born in Barcelona in 1936 and for 25 years he dedicated himself professionally to journalism with a notable prestige within this activity. At the age of 23 he asked for admission to Opus Dei and in 1982 he accepted the prelate’s call to be ordained a priest of the prelature. It was Pope John Paul II who ordained him in Valencia that same year 1982.

Throughout these 42 years of priesthood he has carried out apostolic work in Catalonia, especially in the oratory of Bonaigua in Barcelona, and also in Andorra, collaborating in many of the activities of the “Association of Friends of the Way of Pallerols to Andorra”.

His optimistic, calm, realistic character, full of humanity and open to everyone, made him make friends easily with those who treated him.
