A highly recommended family adventure

On the weekend of October 23 and 24, a group of families from the school Canigó we decided to go and discover Pallerols. The plan was for a few parents to spend the night at the rectory with our daughters. It would be an adventure.

On the afternoon of Saturday 23, we arrived in Organyà to attend the Mass of 7 pm. After the Mass, different people from the parish welcomed us very well and told us things about the village and of course the famous Homilies.

From there we went to the rectory of Pallerols for dinner and sleep. The daughters chose to sleep in the loft of the refuge and the parents occupied other areas of the rectory. Once installed, Màrius and Manel made us a dinner with soup and sausages that delighted everyone, while Carles and Javier helped with everything else.

The next day we got up very early and some of the early risers, who went out for a run, saw three chamois near the Saint Raphael hut. Then we had a good breakfast and at the end, Ramon Camats gave us a great explanation of the whole history of Pallerols which we really liked.

While we waited for the rest of the families to arrive, we took the opportunity to go up to the San Rafael hut and take a circular excursion back to the rectory.

All together, parents, mothers, daughters and some sons, we had a picnic lunch in which there was a pie competition: Galician against Venezuelan. Both were delicious.

Since we were in October, we ended the day praying the rosary in the church of Pallerols, in front of the image of the Virgin of the Roser, offering it to all the families of the school.

We were so well in Pallerols that it was difficult for us to leave, but as it was too late there was no choice but to return to Barcelona, ​​despite the firm intention of returning very soon with other families from Canigó.

A family weekend, highly recommended!
