The school’s name where Nichole and Monica take their classes is “Wooden Rose”

On 25 April, we were honoured by the visit of the Arcenas family from Philippine Islands. We were delighted meeting Michael and Ann and their four children: Seve, Nichole, Monica and Christian.

Emilio Fernández Urias, with his wife Beatrice Casado, accompanied them throughout the day.

Emilio tells us:

“We drove them to Peramola and after taking some photos in front of the hayloft where saint Josemaria overnighted, we moved to Pallerols. Overthere we briefly explained saint Josemaría’s arrival to Vilaró on November 20, 1937 and his stay in the area until November 27. Then we took a tour of the Rectory entering the same way they went in in 1937. We could explain them the building and the refurbishment it has been done to the ground floor. We toured also the first floor and the place saint Josemaría slept and went up to the second floor to explain the family the entire Andorran Route. Finally we went down by the sacristy staircase to the place were saint Josemaria found the wooden rose. Having in mind that the school’s name where Nichole and Monica take their classes is “Wooden Rose” you can imagine they were eager to visit Pallerol’s site and its church”.

“After reading historical texts and praying the Regina Coeli to Our Lady of the Rose we left the place for the Saint Raphael Cabin. It was really funny for the two smaller children to follow the blue-and-yellow marks all the way up to the cabin. We reached the site, read some more historical texts and returned to Pallerols”.
