Roberto, Marcelo and Jordi working near the Saint Raphael Cabin
On Saturday, January 17, despite being a very rainy day, 11 volunteers went to Pallerols to do various cleaning and maintenance jobs. 2 work teams were formed: one for interiors and another for exteriors.
The 11 volunteers were: Jordi P, Jordi B, Ramon C, Josep Maria V, Marcelo M, Roberto M, John J, Daniel M, Lluís A, Enrique T and Fr. Xavier.
At 10 o’clock they all arrived in Pallerols and the first thing was the mass celebrated by Fr. Xavier.
Then, everyone got to work: The interior team dismantled the nativity scene and thoroughly cleaned the church and the rectory. They also fixed some chairs that were damaged and prepared lunch.
The outdoor team formed by Jordi B, Marcelo, Roberto and Ramon went to the Saint Raphael Cabin to dismantle signs and then repaint them. This was the team that received the most intense force of the rain on this day, January 17.

Josep Maria also got really wet, as he did outdoor work to channel rainwater towards the Cal Mingo pond and thus free up the access road to the church.
Finally, they had a nice aperitif and lunch that the volunteers themselves brought. This lunch was also attended by Agustí from Cal Mingo, our friend and neighbor of the rectory of Pallerols.

A day with a lot of rain but all those present expressed the joy they experienced for the service carried out and with the desire to return next month.
