Mass at the Collada de la Torre

As is traditional, every year around June 24th a group of boys from different countries walk the Andorra Trail, from Pallerols to Sant Julià de Lòria.

This year it was from June 19th to 24th and 24 boys attended.

On the night of June 19th they met at the rectory of Pallerols and on the 20th, early in the morning they did the first stage, from Peramola to the Pla d’Aubenç.

On the 23rd they slept at the Collada de la Torre and on the 24th they arrived in Sant Julià de Lòria, where they celebrated the thanksgiving mass in the parish church, received by the rector Fr. Pepe Chisvert. Finally they went to take a shower at the Sant Julià Sports Center, kindly provided by the Comú.

A few intimate days lived intensely, where the boys were able to reconnect with themselves, in the silence of the days spent in the mountains, and experienced the generosity of thinking of others while they walked and suffered the consequences of the heat of these days.

Throughout the journey they were assisted by Paco Penella and Josep Maria Vila, from Lleida. They were also accompanied and celebrated mass every day by Fr. Albert Penella.

A highly recommended experience where what Monsignor Javier Echevarria said is fulfilled: “by taking this path one discovers the personal path”.
