On Saturday, November 21, 2026, we will celebrate the traditional “Rose Encounter” Festival in Pallerols de Rialb, organized by the Association of Friends of the Pallerols de Rialb to Andorra Trail.

The day will begin at 11:30 a.m. with a screening of the documentary about Saint Josemaría’s escape journey to Andorra. The video highlights the hardships and suffering endured by the members of the group accompanying Saint Josemaría; it specifically describes the anguish the saint experienced during the night of November 21–22, 1937, as he questioned whether continuing the journey to Andorra was truly the Lord’s will. The rose he found in the church in the early hours of the 22nd filled him with peace and confirmed his decision to press on to Andorra, assured that he was doing God’s will.

At 12:00 p.m., there will be a guided tour of the rectory and the church, followed immediately—at 12:30 p.m.—by a procession around the church with the statue of Our Lady of the Rosary, accompanied by the singing of the *Gozos* (traditional hymns of praise) of Our Lady of the Rosary of Pallerols.

Once inside the church, around 12:50 p.m., Holy Mass will be celebrated.

After the Eucharist, we will go to the cemetery to pray for the deceased of Pallerols.

Those who wish may have lunch in the area surrounding Pallerols. A fire will be available for a barbecue or for warming up whatever food individuals have brought.

At 4:00 p.m., as happens every year, the Rosary will be recited, and the relics of Saint Josemaría will be venerated.

Take a look at last year’s Rose Encounter Festival, attended by the Bishop of Urgell, Msgr. Josep Lluís Serrano Pentinat.
