Improving communication to reach the world

On April 7 a mass was held in Pallerols for the soul of Ignasi Forcada. He was one of the founding partners of the Association of the Friends of the Camino de Pallerols and the Rialb foundation.

The mass was held at 11:00 and concelebrated by father Pere Pascual from Barcelona ​and father Bonifaci Fortuny from Ponts. Some 70 people attended from Lleida, Barcelona, ​​Girona, Tarragona, Igualada, Manresa and many other parts of Catalonia and Andorra and included representatives of the Rialb Foundation and the Association of the Friends of the Camino de Pallerols, their respective presidents and many partners and collaborators.

Several local council ministers and family members of historic families were also in attendance. They included: Antoni Reig (mayor of the Baronia de Rialb), Dolors Caelles (Cultural councillor), Josep Finestres (of La Fenosa), Agustí Sala (of Vilaró), Josep Guardia (of la Fonda), Antoni and Pilar Bach (grandchildren of Tonillo, from Peramola), Josep Boix and his wife Conxita, from Juncàs, Amadeu Rocamora and his wife Elena, from Organyà and the Minister of Health of Andorra, Carles Álvarez Marfany.

After the Mass, we had a meeting of friends of Pallerols to discuss ways to deepen the formation of guides and continue to improve our communication methods. This work session was attended by 41 people.

The following topics were defined: that on Saturdays (from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) that there would always be someone from the Association available to people who visit Pallerols. That communication with the wider world be improved with the use of modern technologies, audio-visual and internet, improvements to the webpage, commissioning a new video that communicates more effectively the message of Pallerols and what it stands for. The creation of a mobile phone App, that improves communication in English, and has features that give maps and points of interest of the route and the historical writings of the expedition of St. Josemaría and thus promote the use of the School of Pallerols, and the house of Rural Tourism.

After lunch at the shelter of Pallerols we shared some videos and a power-point on the 2nd floor of the Rectory.

This day of work in Pallerols ended with the recitation of the rosary in the church.
