A group of young men making the journey from Pallerols to Andorra

From August 26 to 29, a group of eight young men covered a significant part of the Andorra Trail.

They arrived in Pallerols on the afternoon of August 26 and, over the following days, completed several stages of the journey until they reached Andorra.

The leader of this expedition wrote to us: “You know I am a fan of that corner of the world so full of light and so spiritually uplifting for the Christian life. We hope to return next year from August 26 to 30; I would like to book those dates. There is something special about Pallerols; it speaks for itself about the adventure of following the Lord more closely. I believe that so many people from all over the world should visit Pallerols at least once in their lives.”

This echoes what Msgr. Javier Echevarría said when blessing a group of us volunteers who maintain the trail: “May you continue opening up this path—from Pallerols and across the Pyrenees—to so many people.”

And on another occasion, when he blessed the Pallerols rectory in 2015, he told us: “Pallerols is not limited to this specific territory; it is open to the whole world!”

And that is indeed the case, as people from all over the globe come to Pallerols, something you can easily see by looking at the news updates on the website.
