| 5 hours walking under a harsh July sun |

At 5 pm last July 21, a group of 14 Portuguese girls arrived in Pallerols asking for water because they had already used up all the liquid supplies they were carrying. This day was one of the hottest of the summer, reaching 39 degrees in some places in the Barony of Rialb.
They had left Peramola at a quarter to 12 with the intention of following on foot the old road that goes to Pallerols passing through the Saint Raphael Cabin. In total they walked for more than 5 hours under a very intense sun.
Once recovered from the heat and well supplied with water, they made a guided visit to the rectory and the church of Pallerols, retracing the places through which Saint Josemaria passed on November 21 and 22, 1937. |

The day after the arrival of these girls in Pallerols, we received a WhatsApp message saying: "Thank you very much for the wonderful welcome you gave us. It was a great day! All the girls really liked it!"
These and other similar expressions are the general tone of all the groups that come to visit Pallerols.

En este viaje he descubierto la fortaleza y audacia que tuvo san Josemaría para cumplir la voluntad de Dios así como su absoluta confianza en Él, lo que me ha ayudado mucho en mi vida ordinaria de cada día. |

La ruta finalizó con una excelente visita guiada. Las explicaciones fueron muy precisas y completas, y todas pudimos hacernos cargo de los sufrimientos que padecieron los componentes de la expedición de 1937. |

Después de tanto esfuerzo, de subidas empinadas, de sudor y fatigas a lo largo de 5 horas de camino por las montañas … y largas conversaciones entre nosotras mientras caminábamos, … ¡llegar por fin a Pallerols nos produjo una alegría difícil de transmitir para aquellos que no lo habéis experimentado! |

Desde Portugal un grupo de amigas organizamos un viaje de 5 días a España para seguir los pasos de san Josemaría. ¡Siempre supimos que la Travesía de los Pirineos sería lo más destacado del viaje y no nos equivocamos!
La travesía fue exigente y requirió esfuerzo por nuestra parte; tuvimos que afrontar el sol de mediodía, la calor y la falta de agua, pero valió la pena! |
