The time to cross the border with Andorra

One of the expeditionaries tells us her experience.

From Olabidea, a college on the campus of the University of Navarra, we decided to make the Pass of the Pyrenees at the end of August to say goodbye to the summer before starting the course. When you love someone, many of your wishes are directed to get to know your life more closely. The illusion of following in the footsteps of St. Josemaría at key moments in his life made us embark on this path, but we did not imagine the experience so impressive that we were going to live. It has really been very special to walk through the mountains knowing that we stepped on where he had previously stepped: Peramola, the Pallerols refuge, the San Rafael cabin, Ares, the arrival in Andorra ... Among other exciting moments, we will certainly never forget the Mass in the Ribalera that our chaplain celebrated just before climbing the mountain of Aubenç.

For us, "The Pass" has been many things: moments of walking in the sun or rain, hard slopes and flatter stages; share tiredness, laughter, music and prayers, get to know each other clearly; the signs in blue and yellow - so desired! - that affirmed us in our path and that we have not wanted to continue looking for each one to return to their land ...

Wanting to convey what we live, what comes out is a Thank you !: in capital letters and between exclamations. Thanks to Jordi, his guidance to plan our day to day and his fantastic book; thanks to Ramón, that guardian angel who together with Fr. Lucas made it possible for us to live the best moments of the road bringing the presence of the one who really guided the steps of our Father. Without a doubt we will do the Pass of the Pyrenees again, although we know that this one that we have lived has been unique.

Pallerols no defrauda nunca!

Comment Más gente que ha experimentado en su propia carne lo que significa recorrer el Paso de antiguos fugitivos por arduos senderos en los Pirineos. Toda una experiencia inolvidable, como para casi todo el mundo que lo ha recorrido.
