Fr. Feliu Torra, a Catalan priest of Opus Dei who has been in Slovenia for many years gives us a summary of his stay in Pallerols and Andorra, accompanying 4 priests (Luka, Janez, Andrej and another Janez) and a deacon (Luka) from Slovenia. In the Comments of this news, you can read the impressions of some of the attendees.<\/p>\n

Mr. Feliu, who has been to Pallerols many times, tells us the following:<\/p>\n

“After the recess course that some of us did at the beginning of February in Polzela, we decided to organize a short trip to make a pilgrimage to some Marian sanctuaries during Easter week. We saw that it was possible to make a short trip of four days.<\/p>\n

Early on Easter Tuesday morning we left Venice for Barcelona, \u200b\u200bwhere Feliu picked us up in a van. On arrival we headed to Montserrat, where we went on pilgrimage, celebrated Mass and also saw the new sculptural group of Saint Josemaria and Blessed \u00c1lvar del Portillo.<\/p>\n

The next day we were at the Sagrada Fam\u00edlia, and the plan for Thursday was to go to Andorra (Meritxell) via Pallerols. The decision was a success, although time was short. On Thursday, April 4, we will leave Sabadell early on our way to Oliana, where we will arrive before ten in the morning. Our guide and companion, Ramon, was waiting for us there. We immediately arrived in Peramola to get to know the town where Saint Josemaria slept the first night after getting off the bus at the bridge – now renovated – at the exit from Oliana. We saw the barn where he spent the night.<\/p>\n

The next step was to reach Pallerols, where we heard a quick explanation of the key points of the “adventure” from our Founder and his companions. The six of us who were on this trip did not miss a point.<\/p>\n

After the explanation of the “Pas dels Pirineus”, we went in two groups to the Cabana de Sant Rafael, three went with Ramon in the small jeep and the other three walked quickly to this very special place, where our Father lived five days with the other seven who were with him. We went inside the cabin, read something about this place and took some pictures.<\/p>\n

Returning, we finished seeing the rectory, the different maps and the audiovisual material… But we had to interrupt this wonderful visit for another occasion, because we had to get to Sant Juli\u00e0 de L\u00f2ria and specifically to the parish church, where we would celebrate Mass on the altar where there is the high relief of Saint Josemaria kneeling, in thanksgiving after having managed to arrive, with the others, safe and sound at their destination: freedom in Andorra.<\/p>\n
