Chronicle of the Long Walk of Ares
With a one hour delay because of traffic problems, we initiated the ascent to the town of Ares. At 11 o'clock in the morning we began to walk from the road of Cabó, just a little before arriving at the house of Oliva.

Long walk from Cases to Cabó River

On Saturday January 14th of 2006 we will complete the Long Walk from Sellent River to Cabó River.

 

This Long walk corresponds to a part of the one the expedition of 1937 did, on November 29th.

Chronicle of the long walk from the river of Valldarques to the river of Cabó

At 10.00h we met at the place we had agreed to, in front of the hotel Betriu of Coll de Nargó. 10 members of the expedition to do the long walk from the river of Valldarques to the river of Cabó. Altogether we walked about 6 long hours, with two ascents and two descents: the first ascent is of about 440 meters to arrive at Fenollet, and the second of about 300 meters to arrive at Coll de Santa Fe, passing along the Channel of Grau del Fangueret. The accumulation of ascents and descents was of about 800 metres.

Long walk to Ares
At the agreed time, towards 10 o'clock on March 26th 2006, new members of the expedition prepared to do the crossing from Riu Cabó to Noves de Segre along a similar itinerary to the one completed on the 29th and 30th of November 1937 by the expedition in which saint Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer took part, on his way to Andorra and guided by Josep Cirera.

Easter Routes

The next 26th and 27th of March of 2005, we plan to complete the following routes of the Passage of the Pyrenees.

From Pallerols to Mas d’Alins, in Andorra

A group of young people from Madrid have asked us to accompany them in one of the stretches of the Passage of the Pyrenees on the 5th, 6th and 7th of December this year. Altogether there will be about 12 people.
